Projects

I am full of ideas. However, my concentration skills are poor, so it is hard to actually get something done without an enabler by my side.

iDroid Project
Once upon a time, you did not really have a choice when it came to smartphones. Apple was the way to go, even though you did not particularly care for their products in general. So we bought the iPhone, and we cursed at iOS which at the time was ridiculously locked down. Still is, I suppose, but now it is in a more evil way whereas before it was just stupid. Anyways, then along came Android and changed everything. Now we have a common operating system all cell phone makers are welcome to use, and apps can be made to work across all brands, and all (rounding up) is well. Except for those unlucky few who got iScrewed. Well, iDroid Project aims to port Android to the Apple devices. I and another person named rekoil started the community (forums, wiki, etc); my involvement has otherwise been infinitesimal.

Helan & Halvan
So far, this project is supposed to be held in an alluring shroud of mystery. It will be unveiled in summer 2012 – with a possible mini-event this winter – and will entail good films, good food, good scenery, and completely mental engineering solutions. More details to follow.

The Mysterious Quilt
In its current form, the Quilt is best defined as a quartet, only one man short. We meet and sing, compose, and arrange when our schedules permit. We just came back from China; photographies to follow.

Sondera
Sondera (Swedish to probe) is a simple shell script designed to probe the hardware of computers you intend to buy, and store this information for later perusal. It is designed to be run off a bootable USB drive; if you do not care to make one yourself, here is an image of mine (MD5 of gzipped archive: 38adc5202054a6db3b3033b7dd76e70c).
